• New for 2025, NASCAR’s Xfinity Fastest Lap awards one point to the driver who records the quickest single lap in each national-series race.
• Kyle Larson collected the bonus at Circuit of the Americas, Kansas, Mexico City and Watkins Glen, twice setting the fastest lap after rejoining the race multiple laps down.
• Those bonuses left him three points ahead of Chase Elliott in the regular-season standings, yielding one additional playoff bonus point for a total of 32 carried through every round.
• After the points reset, Larson and William Byron are tied at 2,032, with Larson taking the top seed on the wins tiebreaker (three to two).
• Across the season, 11 Cup drivers have earned the bonus with Denny Hamlin leading at six, and Frontstretch notes only 14 of 68 winners across all series also claimed the fastest lap.
