Fans and Family Honor Alarm Frontman Mike Peters at Dyserth Funeral Service

Overview

  • Around 150 guests gathered at St Bridget and St Cwyfan’s Parish Church in Dyserth on May 29 for the funeral, with the service broadcast on a large outdoor screen for additional fans.
  • Sons Evan and Dylan Peters performed guitar alongside Billy Duffy of the Cult, Slim Jim Phantom of the Stray Cats and Big Country’s Watson brothers, and attendees marked a spirited “minute of noise.”
  • James Chippendale, co-founder of Love Hope Strength, described the two-hour ceremony as “spot-on perfect” and highlighted Peters’s genuine connection with fans.
  • Peters died on April 29 at age 66 after a 30-year battle with chronic lymphocytic leukaemia and a late-stage Richter’s syndrome diagnosis.
  • An MBE since 2019 for voluntary cancer-care work, he co-founded Love Hope Strength whose Get On The List initiative has registered over 250,000 potential stem cell donors worldwide.
