Fanatics' Topps Imagines Tom Brady's Baseball Career with Montreal Expos

Campaign includes special baseball card, commercial, and retro jerseys, but draws criticism from Hall of Famer Rod Carew

Fanatics' Topps has released a special Tom Brady baseball card as part of its Bowman Draft 2023 set, imagining an alternate reality where Brady pursued a career in baseball with the Montreal Expos, who drafted him in 1995.
The campaign, launched on December 12 (12/12) in honor of Brady's jersey number, includes a commercial featuring Brady and former Expos stars Vladimir Guerrero, Larry Walker, and Pedro Martinez reminiscing about Brady's imagined baseball career.
Brady's imagined baseball career includes seven World Series titles, nearly 650 home runs, three MVP awards, and a 23-season career.
Fanatics-owned Mitchell & Ness is also selling a limited number of retro No. 12 Montreal Expos jerseys as part of the campaign.
Despite the fun alternate reality, the campaign has drawn criticism from Hall of Famer Rod Carew, who questioned the need to pretend a football player was a baseball player to gain attention for the sport.
