- The shirt allegedly referred to the Hillsborough disaster where 97 football fans lost their lives in 1989.
- The Metropolitan Police confirmed they were aware of the situation and worked with officials at Wembley Stadium to identify the man.
- The man was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence.
- Police were also investigating an object that was thrown towards a Manchester United player during the match.
