Family Pursues Bronx Lead in Search for Missing Former Platters Singer

The NYPD has circulated her description to prompt public tips through Crime Stoppers.

  • Hall, 80, was last seen boarding a subway at Atlantic Avenue near the Barclays Center on Friday afternoon and has not been heard from since.
  • Her daughter, Star DaSilva, said a Bronx tip matched Hall’s description after she allegedly boarded the uptown 2 train and has been liaising with the local precinct.
  • Hall, who lives in Flatbush, has dementia and can become easily disoriented in New York City’s transit system.
  • Police describe her as about 5-foot-3, wearing gray pants, white sneakers and a pink shirt over a white long-sleeve top when last seen.
  • Hall rose to fame in the 1960s as Sandra Dawn with The Platters, joining the vocal group in 1965 during their brief chart comeback.
