Family of 11-Year-Old Boy Shot By Police Files $5 Million Lawsuit, Alleging Excessive Force

The family of Aderrien Murry, an 11-year-old boy shot in the chest by police in Indianola, Mississippi, is suing the city and police department for $5 million.
Murry called 911 after his mother gave him her phone to get help from his sister's irate father.
Officer Greg Capers responded to the call and immediately shot Murry, according to the lawsuit.
Murry suffered severe injuries but survived after hospitalization.
The lawsuit accuses Capers of gross negligence and using excessive force and claims he has a history of abuse.
