Family Evicted From Rhyl Holiday Park to Receive Full Refund

Lyons Holiday Parks has contacted the booking provider to process a full refund following the family’s rejection of a two-night offer.

Overview

  • The family reported finding toothpaste in sinks, urine in toilets, hair in showers and a sewing needle in the caravan after checking in on July 19 for a £560 week-long stay.
  • A burst main water pipe left two on-site food kiosks without running water until park staff repaired the line and supplied bottled water.
  • Park management offered upgraded accommodation, housekeeping fixes and a two-night refund, but the family declined all alternatives before being asked to leave on the night of July 23.
  • Lyons Holiday Parks spokesman confirmed that a full refund will now be issued and that the company has liaised with the third-party booking agent to complete the reimbursement.
  • The family continues to refuse any partial refund and insists they will never return, even as Lyons Holiday Parks highlights generally positive guest feedback over its 100-year history.
