• Fundación Egiari Zor and relatives held a tribute in Plaza Ferrerías in the Amara neighborhood on June 29 to mark three decades since Zarra’s death
• During the homage, Iñaki Goñi Irazusta recited a bertso asserting that a rubber bullet fired by the Ertzaintza caused Zarra’s fatal injury
• Relatives called on Mr. Atutxa to issue a public apology for the Ertzaintza’s use of force that led to the 1995 incident
• This commemoration follows the Basque Government’s Comisión de Valoración decision in March recognizing Zarra as a victim of police violence
