FalloutSeason 2 Debut Draws 794 Million Minutes, No. 4 Among Streaming Originals

Nielsen’s U.S. TV-only count reflects a weekly rollout that reduces premiere-week minutes versus season one’s binge release.

Overview

  • For Dec. 15–21, Nielsen logged 794 million minutes for Fallout on Prime Video, with the Dec. 16 season-two premiere accounting for 54% (about 429 million).
  • The series placed No. 7 across all streaming programs and No. 4 among streaming originals for the week.
  • Season two’s measured start is far below season one’s 2.9 billion opening-week minutes in April 2024, a record set with a full-season binge drop.
  • Nielsen aggregates viewing across all seasons and measures only U.S. TV-set viewing, excluding computers, mobile devices and international audiences.
  • Weekly comparables showed Stranger Things at roughly 2.38–2.4 billion minutes, Landman at 1.61 billion, Wake Up Dead Man at 1.1 billion and Emily in Paris at 831 million.
