Overview

  • The update is live as a free download on PC, Xbox and PlayStation following scheduled downtime on September 2.
  • Placement rules are relaxed so many items can be positioned in new ways, including some mid-air, though certain objects still require ground placement.
  • Builders can toggle snapping, place walls beneath floors, and attach upper levels to walls without first placing a staircase.
  • The Workshop menu is reorganized into clearer categories and subcategories to improve item findability during construction.
  • Bethesda opened C.A.M.P. competitions with the Rebuild Appalachia event running September 2–29, and the patch also adds item locking, event adjustments and combat balance tweaks.
