Bethesda Postpones Release of Highly Anticipated Update, Citing Need for More Time

Bethesda has delayed the release of the next-gen update for Fallout 4 to 2024. The update was initially expected to launch in 2023.
The update will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows PC systems. It will include performance mode features for high frame rates, quality features for 4K resolution gameplay, bug fixes, and additional bonus Creation Club content.
The delay was announced on the official Fallout Twitter account, where Bethesda thanked fans for their patience and stated that they needed 'a bit more time'.
The next-gen update for Fallout 4 was first announced in 2022 as part of the 25th anniversary celebration for the Fallout series.
The delay could potentially coincide with the release of Amazon's Fallout TV series, which is set to debut on Prime Video in April 2024.
