Fall River Woman Pleads Guilty to Sex Trafficking Two Minors and an Adult

A July 15 hearing will decide a sentence prosecutors say should be no less than 15 years.

Overview

  • Christy “Lula” Parker, 28, pleaded guilty in federal court in Boston to conspiracy, two counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and sex trafficking a minor.
  • Prosecutors say she forced an adult and two minors into commercial sex in Fall River and Somerset in 2023 using beatings, threats, sleep deprivation, starvation, and control of money.
  • The operation, which housed the minors in a residence and a Somerset hotel, ended after one minor called her social worker, who alerted police and led to Parker’s arrest at the hotel.
  • A plea agreement says prosecutors will seek 15 to 18 years in prison, $20,000 in restitution, and five years of supervised release, and federal law sets a 15-year minimum; sentencing is set for July 15.
  • Four co-defendants have already been convicted and sentenced, and court papers say Parker took control of the ring after a partner’s unrelated arrest in South Carolina.
