Fall River Police Arrest Five After Sunday Street Takeover That Blocked Roads

Police promise an aggressive crackdown following social-media videos showing riders performing stunts that obstructed traffic.

Overview

  • Between 3:15 and 6 p.m. Sunday, police estimated 50–100 riders on dirt bikes, ATVs, scooters and motorcycles converged on city streets, performing reckless stunts and blocking traffic.
  • Officers arrested Christopher Frias, 34; Dylan Ploude, 24; Aaron Pimental, 20; Yethziel Medina, 19; and Jerron Butler, 36, on charges that include negligent operation, failure to stop, disturbing the peace, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
  • Butler also faces an assault and battery on an officer charge, and several suspects were cited for unlicensed or unregistered operation and other vehicle violations.
  • Police shared multiple videos from the day, including clips submitted by residents, and said proactive patrols across the city led to the arrests.
  • Four motorcycles, one ATV and one scooter were towed, and officials framed the event as part of a wider pattern of takeovers that has drawn state action, noting Governor Maura Healey announced plans in October to curb such gatherings.
