Falcons Release Veteran Cornerback Casey Hayward

The Atlanta Falcons released cornerback Casey Hayward after he suffered a season-ending injury in 2022.
Hayward was signed before the 2022 season to start opposite A.J. Terrell but only played six games.
By releasing Hayward, the Falcons will save $5 million in salary cap space for the 2023 season.
The Falcons are rebuilding their secondary and have already added safeties and corners in free agency and trades.
The Falcons have the 8th overall pick in the upcoming NFL draft and may select a cornerback with that selection.
