- The Atlanta Falcons interviewed Matt Eberflus, former head coach of the Chicago Bears, for their vacant defensive coordinator position.

- Before his tenure with the Bears, Eberflus served as the defensive coordinator for the Indianapolis Colts from 2018 to 2021 and held various assistant coaching roles with the Dallas Cowboys and Cleveland Browns.
- The Falcons have also interviewed several other candidates for the role, including Steve Wilks, Grady Brown, Derrick Ansley, Lou Anarumo, Jeff Ulbrich, and Wink Martindale.
- Atlanta is seeking to revamp its defensive staff after missing the playoffs and allowing 74 points in back-to-back overtime losses to close the season.
