The Atlanta Falcons have hired Jimmy Lake as their new defensive coordinator and retained Marquice Williams as special teams coordinator under new head coach Raheem Morris.
Lake previously worked with Morris at the Rams and the Buccaneers, and also served as the head coach of the Washington Huskies from 2020 to 2021.
The Falcons' defensive unit saw major improvement in the 2023 season, moving from a No. 27 ranking in total yards allowed in 2022 to No. 11 in 2023.
Zac Robinson has been hired as the Falcons' offensive coordinator, marking his first opportunity to call plays.
The Falcons are set to pick eighth in the upcoming draft and owner Arthur Blank has said the team will be active in free agency, potentially indicating a pursuit of a new quarterback.
