Overview
- Atlanta re-signed linebacker DeAngelo Malone to a one-year contract in a depth move that also included cornerback Darnay Holmes.
- Malone has played limited snaps on defense across four seasons, never topping 90 in a year and recording three career sacks.
- He has been used most on special teams, though last season Pro Football Focus charted him with a career-high in missed tackles and the unit struggled in nine games.
- His top 2025 moment was a game-sealing interception against the Bills on a pass deflected by defensive end Zach Harrison.
- Drafted with the No. 82 pick acquired in the 2022 Matt Ryan trade, Malone enters camp on the roster bubble and must earn a role to stick.
