Fake Rideshare Driver Charged in Violent Sexual Assaults Near Brampton Bus Stops

A 22-year-old international student faces multiple charges after allegedly targeting young women at bus stops in a series of attacks earlier this month.

• Peel Regional Police have arrested Arshdeep Singh, a 22-year-old international student from India, in connection with three violent sexual assaults in Brampton, Ontario.
• The suspect allegedly posed as a rideshare driver, approaching women in their early 20s at bus stops and offering unsolicited rides before assaulting them at remote locations.
• The attacks occurred on November 8 and November 16, with victims being driven to secluded areas in Vaughan and Brampton where they were sexually assaulted.
• Singh faces numerous charges, including sexual assault, sexual assault by strangulation, sexual assault with a weapon, kidnapping, robbery, and uttering threats.
• Police believe there may be additional victims and are urging anyone with information to come forward as the investigation continues.
