Overview
- The government set phased targets for BDD sites, with Worli due in May 2029, Naigaon in June 2029, and N. M. Joshi in June 2031 under the essential-project designation.
- Mumbai Metro deadlines include Line 2B (DN Nagar–Mandale) by March 31, 2027 and the Swami Samarth Nagar–Vikhroli link by December 31, 2026, with the Shyam Nagar land issue ordered resolved in 15 days.
- Pune’s PMRDA Metro Line 3 between Mann, Hinjewadi and Shivajinagar is slated for completion by March 31, 2026.
- On roads, 19 km of the 23.8 km Vadpe–Thane corridor is done with the remainder targeted for March 2026, and the Sewri–Worli connector was ordered on a fast track.
- The Centre cleared coastal reclamation for the Versova–Dahisar–Bhayandar stretch of the coastal road with phased completion by December 30, 2028, as the CM also pressed the Bandra–Versova sea link contractor to adopt advanced technology.
