- Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated the special tourist train on June 9 from Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus to mark the 351st coronation anniversary.
- The six-day itinerary visits major sites including Raigad, Shivneri, Pratapgad and Panhala forts alongside Pune’s Lal Mahal, Kasba Ganpati and the Shivsrushti theme park.
- All 710 seats sold out before departure, with 480 in Economy, 190 in 3AC and 40 in 2AC class and about 80% of travelers under the age of 40.
- Package rates range from Rs. 13,155 in Sleeper to Rs. 27,365 in 2AC, covering train travel, hotel stays, vegetarian meals, transfers, sightseeing, insurance and tour escort services.
- Officials say the circuit underscores Indian Railways’ push to boost cultural tourism by offering immersive experiences of Maharashtra’s Maratha heritage.
