Fadnavis Approves 39-Km Bhairoba Nala–Yavat Flyover to Ease PuneSolapur Traffic

MSIDC will deliver the revised Bhairoba Nala–Yavat span on a BOT model to clear the persistent Bhairoba Nala choke point.

Overview

  • The start point shifts from Hadapsar to Bhairoba Nala, adding about 4.5 km and taking the flyover to roughly 39 km along NH65.
  • Implementation is assigned to MSIDC on a build-operate-transfer basis, with tolls after completion, tendering still pending, and a three-year construction target after award.
  • The cabinet had sanctioned about Rs 5,262 crore in June for the earlier plan, and officials indicate the longer alignment will increase the final cost.
  • Fadnavis directed planners to include provision for a future metro line along the corridor during the road’s construction.
  • Officials cite chronic congestion at Bhairoba Nala and project reduced travel times for Yavat, Uruli Kanchan, Patas and Solapur-bound traffic.
