Fabio Carvalho Returns to Liverpool as Leipzig Loan Ends Early

21-year-old winger Fabio Carvalho is returning to Liverpool after his loan spell at RB Leipzig was ended early.
Carvalho had joined the German side on a season-long loan in June, but made only three starts in a total of 15 appearances for the team this season.
Leipzig sporting director Rouven Schroder stated that both parties had expected more from his time at Leipzig, especially in terms of playing time.
Carvalho, who has played for Portugal's Under-21 team, moved to Liverpool from Fulham in the summer of 2022 and has featured 21 times for the Reds, scoring three goals.
Carvalho is likely to head out on loan again for the second half of the campaign, with a number of clubs from England and abroad showing interest.
