FA Launches Formal Investigation into Maddy Cusack's Death

Investigation follows allegations by Cusack's family about her relationship with Sheffield United’s women’s team manager, Jonathan Morgan.

The Football Association (FA) has launched a formal investigation into the death of Sheffield United Women’s player Maddy Cusack, after receiving evidence from her family.
Cusack's family alleges that her working relationship with Sheffield United’s women’s team manager, Jonathan Morgan, contributed to her mental health issues and subsequent death.
An external investigation commissioned by Sheffield United found no evidence of wrongdoing by anybody connected to the club, including Morgan.
Morgan, who temporarily stepped away from his post during the investigation, has returned to work at United.
A coroner’s inquest into Cusack’s death has yet to formally conclude, and the police did not treat the circumstances as suspicious.
