  • The National Weather Service issued Extreme Heat Warnings across Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona, and Nevada, with alerts spanning from the weekend into early next week.
  • An Extreme Heat Warning is in effect until 8 p.m. Monday for Eastern Curry, Josephine, and Jackson counties in Oregon, where highs of 100 to 107°F and lows of 60 to 70°F are expected.
  • Central Douglas County and the Eastern Douglas County Foothills are under a Heat Advisory until 8 p.m. Sunday with highs of 95 to 104°F, while parts of the Cascades, the Klamath Basin, and Lake County face a separate advisory until 8 p.m. Saturday with highs of 95 to 100°F.
  • Elsewhere, the Seattle area is forecast for upper 80s to mid‑90s with a warning through early Tuesday, Southern California deserts may reach 112°F, Arizona metros 102 to 112°F, and Nevada could see up to 120°F at Furnace Creek.
  • Officials urge frequent hydration, use of air‑conditioned spaces, checking on vulnerable neighbors, and OSHA‑recommended rest breaks for outdoor work, with cooling centers and 2‑1‑1 resources available in some areas.
