• According to a CCD FIR, two vehicles ambushed the transport van near Kot Sabzal around 3:25 a.m., wounding the driver, Noor Ali.
• Police say the attackers initially freed Teefi Butt, a pursuit followed, and a second exchange of fire near Bhong ended with him found critically injured and dead en route to hospital.
• He had been flown from Dubai to Karachi on October 10 and was being taken by road to Lahore for questioning in the Ameer Balaj murder investigation.
• Butt was named in the 2024 killing of Ameer Balaj alongside Khawaja Aqeel, known as Gogi Butt, and investigators had identified the wedding shooter as Muzaffar Hussain, a reported associate of Butt who was killed at the scene.
