Explosive Device Found in Deming, New Mexico; Other Suspicious Packages Investigated

State and local police, assisted by the FBI, continue to investigate the incidents across the state.

An explosive device was discovered near a courthouse in Deming, New Mexico, causing the shutdown of Interstate 10 in two locations and the closure of the magistrate court building.
Police in Deming responded to reports of an explosion near an adult probation center, where they found the device.
A second suspicious package reported in Las Cruces, around 60 miles east of Deming, was determined to be an empty box.
Several other suspicious devices were reported in different parts of New Mexico, including Albuquerque, but these turned out to be harmless.
The New Mexico State Police, local law enforcement, and the FBI are all involved in the ongoing investigations.
