Overview

• The blaze began around 9:35 a.m. in Parque Industrial Escobedo on Avenida de las Industrias and Paseo Cucharas, following an explosion in a hydrocarbon storage area.
• Nuevo León’s civil protection chief said the fire is under total control and is expected to be extinguished within hours, with crews also digging a trench to keep runoff from reaching a nearby arroyo.
• Nearby companies, a kindergarten and residents of the Las Cucharas neighborhood were evacuated as the area was cordoned off for safety.
