Explosion at Maharashtra Ordnance Factory Kills One, Traps Workers

A powerful blast in Bhandara district caused a roof collapse, leaving one dead and rescue operations ongoing for missing employees.

The explosion occurred around 10:30 AM in the LTP section of the ordnance factory located in Jawahar Nagar, Bhandara district, Maharashtra.
One worker has been confirmed dead while rescue teams continue searching for at least 10 employees still unaccounted for.
The blast caused the factory roof to collapse, with heavy machinery being used to clear debris and extract trapped workers.
Fourteen individuals were present in the affected section at the time of the explosion, with three already rescued alive.
Local authorities, including the district collector and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, have deployed emergency teams and pledged support for the injured and affected families.
