Overview
- A powerful explosion ripped through the Talent Fireworks unit on Ramol-Gatrad Road on Saturday, July 18, leaving several people dead and many more injured while rescue teams brought the blaze under control.
- Police identified operator Mehul Dodiya and said the factory had been running without a valid licence that was previously cancelled.
- Rapid Action Force units, Ahmedabad Fire and Emergency Services teams and multiple ambulances led the response and reported finding bodies and injured people scattered up to about 50 metres from the site.
