Expelled Congressman George Santos Turns to Cameo, Surpasses Congressional Salary in Two Days

Despite facing multiple federal charges, Santos finds success on celebrity video app, charging $400 per video and earning six figures in just 48 hours.

George Santos, a former Republican congressman expelled from Congress earlier this month, has turned to the Cameo app to make money by recording short, personalized video messages for fans.
Santos, who faces nearly two dozen federal charges for conspiracy, wire fraud, aggravated identity theft and credit card fraud, initially priced his videos at $75 but has since raised his rate to $400 per video.
In just two days on Cameo, Santos has reportedly made a six-figure sum, surpassing his annual congressional salary of $174,000.
Cameo CEO Steven Galanis attributes Santos' success to recent media coverage and the quality of his videos, stating that Santos is 'so in the news right now' and that those who have done best on Cameo have been in the zeitgeist at the moment.
Despite his controversial status, Santos has received positive feedback from customers, including Sen. John Fetterman who paid Santos to record a video trolling Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez of New Jersey.
