Amazon Prime Video has released the first trailer for 'Expats', a Hong Kong-set drama series directed by Lulu Wang and starring Nicole Kidman, Sarayu Blue, and Ji-young Yoo.
The series, based on the bestselling novel 'The Expatriates' by Janice Y. K. Lee, follows three American women living in Hong Kong during 2014, a year marked by street protests as part of the Umbrella Movement.
The show explores the lives of these women as they navigate personal tragedies and the complexities of their privileged expat community.
All six episodes of 'Expats' are directed by Lulu Wang, known for her film 'The Farewell'. The series will premiere with two episodes on January 26, 2024, with new episodes launching weekly until the finale on February 23, 2024.
