EXO Comeback Plans Proceed Without CBX as SM Demands 10% Payment Before Any Return

INB100 says the trio accepted SM’s terms, pledging payment after legal procedures conclude.

Overview

  • SM reiterated that resolving lawsuits and deciding group participation are separate issues and said the trio must first fulfill the June 18, 2023 revenue-sharing clause and rebuild trust.
  • INB100 said on Oct. 29 the three cleared December schedules for full-group work and on Oct. 30 reaffirmed they will pay the 10 percent once an agreement is finalized and litigation wraps.
  • SM noted the trio filed an objection on Oct. 16 after an Oct. 2 mediation; INB100 called the filing a routine response to a mediator’s unrelated figure and said both sides objected.
  • Courts have dismissed or acquitted the trio’s lawsuits and regulators found no violations by SM, and courts limited CBX’s broad accounting-disclosure requests.
  • SM announced an EXO fan meeting in December and an eighth full album in early 2026 with six members—Suho, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai, Sehun, and Lay—excluding Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin.
