Ex-Wife of Woodland Hills Doctor Charged in Alleged Murder-for-Hire Plot

Ahang Mirshojae, 53, has been charged with special circumstances murder and assault with a deadly weapon in connection with the August killing of her ex-husband, Dr. Hamid Mirshojae.
Prosecutors allege she hired Evan Hardman, 41, and Sarallah Jawed, 26, to carry out the fatal ambush and a prior attack involving baseball bats in May.
Hardman, accused of shooting Dr. Mirshojae in the head outside his medical clinic, was arrested in Texas and awaits extradition to Los Angeles County.
Ashley Rose Sweeting, 40, has pleaded not guilty to being an accessory after the fact, while a fifth suspect, Shawn Randolph, has been arrested but not yet charged.
Authorities cite financial gain as the primary motive, with a history of legal disputes and restraining orders between the former couple adding further context to the case.
