• Leavitt, 68, was arrested Monday in St. Petersburg and charged with one count of grand theft and two misdemeanor batteries, according to police records.
• Arrest affidavits say he grabbed an ex-girlfriend’s arm, took her Louis Vuitton purse, clutch and wallet valued between $5,000 and $10,000, and shoved a man at the scene.
• The documents state he admitted withholding the items; he was booked by the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office and released Tuesday on a $7,000 bond.
