Former Twitter executive Nick Caldwell is suing Elon Musk and Twitter/X for approximately $19.3 million in unpaid severance, joining a slew of similar claims since Musk's takeover in 2022.
Caldwell resigned just days before Musk officially took over, citing a 'material adverse change' as his reason, which was covered under Twitter's termination policy.
Twitter/X allegedly failed to provide Caldwell with a standard separation agreement and later terminated him for alleged misconduct, a move he disputes.
Over 2000 former employees have accused Twitter/X of withholding severance, with the company agreeing to settlement talks with a large group last September.
Other former executives, including Twitter/X's previous CEO and CFO, have filed similar lawsuits against Musk for withholding over $128 million in unpaid severance.
