Overview

  • Sprung was struck off the teaching register in 2012 after admitting sexual activity with a 17-year-old pupil and received a six-month community payback order along with time on the sex offenders register
  • Here, With You follows two bears as they discuss a past mistake under the slogan “making bad choices doesn’t make you a bad person” to guide parent-child dialogue
  • The book’s launch follows Sprung’s recent BBC Radio Scotland phone-in appearance, where she spoke out about the stigma and media scrutiny she continues to face
  • All proceeds from the self-published book support Next Chapter Scotland, the charity she founded with National Lottery backing to aid people with criminal records
  • Now remarried and mother of two, Sprung says she wrote the book anticipating how her conviction’s legacy would affect her own children
