- A Tabasco judge issued arrest warrants on February 18 under cause penal 213/2025 charging Bermúdez and two alleged accomplices with organized crime, express kidnapping and extortion.
- Prosecutors identify Bermúdez as the founder and leader of ‘La Barredora’ who allegedly orchestrated the abduction and extortion of gas station owner Ramón Martínez Armengol.
- Bermúdez remains a fugitive after reportedly flying to Panamá the day the warrants were issued, and his co-accused Eduardo Vázquez Orellana and Manuel de Atocha Romero Hernández are also at large.
