Overview

• Detectives arrested a 49-year-old West End man during a search-warrant operation at a Maudsland address about 5:11am.
• He has been charged with one count of murder classified as a domestic violence offence and one count of misconduct with a corpse.
• The accused is expected to appear before the Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
• Police allege Ms Beale left a family dinner in Sunnybank on February 21, was last seen leaving a car on Ryan Street in West End about 9:30pm, and her body was found near Yeronga Reach about 5:40am on February 22.
• Investigators reclassified the death as a homicide after a post-mortem and say they also recovered a sandal and other personal items near Orleigh Park.
