Ex-Partner Arrested After Fatal Stabbing of Woman in Berlin Elevator

A 27-year-old Vietnamese woman was discovered fatally stabbed in the elevator of her apartment building in Marzahn, Berlin, on Saturday.
Her 29-year-old ex-partner, also Vietnamese, has been arrested and is the primary suspect in the case.
The victim sustained numerous knife wounds, and authorities believe the attack may qualify as a femicide, where a woman is killed due to her gender.
The suspect was apprehended by Berlin police after an intensive search and has been placed in pre-trial detention following a court hearing.
An initial suspect, a 31-year-old man found at the scene, was released after further investigation cleared him of involvement.
