• Former Ohio vice detective Andrew Mitchell, 59, has pleaded guilty to federal accusations of kidnapping sex workers under the guise of an arrest.

• While working undercover in 2017, Mitchell handcuffed a sex worker to his vehicle, drove to a parking lot, and detained her against her will after identifying himself as an officer.
• In another incident, Mitchell questioned a sex worker about rates before identifying himself as an officer and then kidnapping her.
• Mitchell was acquitted earlier this year of murder and manslaughter charges stemming from the death of a woman he shot while working undercover in 2018.
