Ex-NFL Coach Jack Del Rio Resigns After DUI Arrest Video Surfaces

The former Jaguars and Raiders head coach stepped down from his advisory role at Wisconsin following his November arrest for operating while intoxicated.

Jack Del Rio, 61, was arrested on November 8 in Madison, Wisconsin, for allegedly driving while intoxicated after crashing into a street sign and residential fence.
Police bodycam footage shows Del Rio pleading with officers to let him use the restroom and moaning in pain while in the back of a squad car.
Del Rio initially denied driving but later admitted to being behind the wheel and refused a breathalyzer, prompting officers to seek a warrant for a blood test.
At the time of his arrest, Del Rio was serving as a senior advisor to Wisconsin Badgers head coach Luke Fickell but resigned shortly after the incident.
Fickell described the situation as difficult, emphasizing the need for the team to focus on the remainder of the season without distractions.
