Ex-Midshipman Charged Over Online Threat That Locked Down Naval Academy

Federal prosecutors say a social media threat sent from Indiana to Maryland triggered their interstate-communication charge.

  • Jackson Elliot Fleming, 23, of Chesterton, Indiana, a former member of the Naval Academy’s Class of 2025, was arrested Friday and charged by complaint with transmitting a threat in interstate communication.
