Amit Patel Allegedly Exploited Team's Virtual Credit Card System Over Four Years

Former Jacksonville Jaguars employee Amit Patel is accused of stealing over $22 million from the NFL team to fund a lavish lifestyle and gambling addiction, according to his lawyer Alex King.
Patel allegedly exploited the team’s virtual credit card (VCC) program to make fraudulent transactions between 2019 and 2023.
Prosecutors claim Patel used the stolen funds to buy luxury items such as a Tesla Model 3, a Nissan pickup truck, a $95,000 Patek Philippe Nautilus watch, and a condominium in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
Patel also allegedly used the money for online gambling, private jet travel, luxury accommodation for himself and friends, and to purchase cryptocurrency.
Patel's attorney states that his client is 'deeply remorseful' and has checked into a rehabilitation center to address his gambling addiction.
