  • Prosecutors claim Patel used the stolen funds to buy luxury items such as a Tesla Model 3, a Nissan pickup truck, a $95,000 Patek Philippe Nautilus watch, and a condominium in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
  • Patel also allegedly used the money for online gambling, private jet travel, luxury accommodation for himself and friends, and to purchase cryptocurrency.
  • Patel's attorney states that his client is 'deeply remorseful' and has checked into a rehabilitation center to address his gambling addiction.
