  • Sookmyung Women’s University concluded that 48.1% to 54.9% of Kim Keon Hee’s 1999 master’s thesis was plagiarized and formally revoked her degree on June 24.
  • Kookmin University has started administrative procedures to evaluate whether the cancellation of her master’s degree automatically disqualifies her 2008 Ph.D.
  • Special Prosecutor Min Joong-ki’s team requested transfers of all related cases from the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office, National Office of Investigation and Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials.
  • The special counsel will investigate 16 allegations, including Deutsche Motors stock manipulation, bribery suspicions at her firm Covana Contents and preferential highway development deals.
  • Up to 205 staff will be organized into eight separate teams to conduct a detailed inquiry into each major allegation under the special investigation mandate.
