Ex-Employee Arrested After Córdoba Home Invasion, Sexual Assault and Kidnapping

Prosecutors say the ex-employee acted alone.

  • Police say 37-year-old Sergio Sosa broke into his former employer’s home in Adelia María before dawn Saturday, assaulted the mother and kidnapped the couple’s 29-year-old daughter.
  • Officers from Las Acequias located the family’s Toyota Hilux on a rural road, forced a stop that ended in a crash and rescued the daughter, who had contusions and a minor cut.
  • Sosa abandoned the vehicle and was detained after fleeing on foot across fields roughly four kilometers from the interception point.
  • Prosecutor Pablo Jávega has formally imputed Sosa on unlawful deprivation of liberty, aggravated robbery, unlawful entry and sexual assault with carnal access.
  • Authorities report the mother was hospitalized with cut wounds and a fractured arm, the suspect remains in custody in Río Cuarto, and investigators continue collecting evidence.
