Ex-CIA analyst John Gentry warns that the intelligence community will likely interfere in the 2024 election, similar to their efforts in 2020.
Gentry suggests that the politicization of intelligence agencies, including the CIA, has become a significant problem due to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) efforts.
He cites the example of the Hunter Biden laptop incident in 2020, where 51 former intelligence officials signed a letter discrediting the laptop's contents, which he believes was done to help the Biden campaign.
Gentry points out that former CIA Director John Brennan and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper were key drivers of the politicization of intelligence agencies.
He also mentions that the DEI and politicization within the intelligence agencies have had a negative effect on morale among rank-and-file workers.
