The reporter also revealed CBS blocked her attempt to conduct a live interview with Elon Musk, citing concerns about his unpredictability and his preference to broadcast on his platform, X (formerly Twitter).
Herridge recounted facing internal resistance from CBS executives, including then-President Ingrid Ciprian-Matthews, who allegedly sidelined her reporting and imposed restrictive conditions on the Musk interview.
Earlier this year, Herridge was terminated from CBS during corporate layoffs, raising questions about the timing given her investigative work on sensitive topics involving the Bidens and Musk.
