Ex-California Prison Guard Charged with Raping 13 Inmates Over Nine Years

Gregory Rodriguez, a former correctional officer, was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting at least 13 inmates at a women's prison from 2014 to 2022.
Rodriguez faces 96 counts including rape, sodomy, sexual battery, and rape under color of authority for assaults that took place over nine years.
If convicted of all charges, Rodriguez could receive a sentence of over 300 years in prison.
Rodriguez retired last August after prison officials began investigating reports of the assaults.
There have been previous accusations of sexual misconduct by officers at the prison and in other California prisons.
