Everton Restructures Leadership with New CEO and Sporting Team Model

Angus Kinnear joins from Leeds as CEO, while the club transitions away from a director of football role under The Friedkin Group's ownership.

Angus Kinnear, formerly of Leeds United, Arsenal, and West Ham, will take over as Everton's CEO starting June 1, 2025.
The Friedkin Group, Everton's new owners, is replacing the director of football model with a broader 'sporting leadership team.'
Kevin Thelwell, who has served as Everton's director of football since 2022, will leave the club at the end of his contract this summer.
Colin Chong, the interim CEO, will remain in a key role overseeing the completion of Everton's new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock and the future of Goodison Park.
The club is also planning additional senior appointments and has begun preparations for the summer transfer window with input from manager David Moyes.
