- Christian Haywood was brought to Endeavor Health Evanston’s ER on June 5 by the non-police Crisis Alternative Response Evanston team after showing signs of mental distress.
- During intake, he fired at least three shots through his backpack at a 33-year-old security guard, wounding her arm and leg; the guard remains in stable condition after surgery, and Haywood also bit a second guard while being subdued.
